NC STATE TITLE IX POSTER SERIES

Title IX of the U.S. Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions that receive federal funding. Under Title IX, schools must disseminate a notice of nondiscrimination. The notice prohibiting sex discrimination must be widely distributed, available and easily accessible to the school community each year. The U.S. Department of Education recommends that schools publish the policy online and have it available in print across campus, with enough detail so that members of the community know that sexual harassment and sexual violence are prohibited forms of sex discrimination.

To meet these requirements, NC State offers the Safe at NC State and Title IX website, training for students and employees on primary prevention and promoting awareness of sexual violence, as well as the new series of Title IX posters that are available to order from WolfXpress for display in every campus building.

We ask each building liaison to purchase and display at least one Title IX poster in English in each of their building(s). If space allows, we also recommend purchasing at least one Title IX poster in Spanish.

Optional Poster Mount(s)

If you wish to order poster mounts to display your new Title IX poster(s), we recommend the following NC State brand-compliant mount, or a frame that matches existing frames in your building(s):

Remove Old Poster(s)

Please remove and destroy any old Title IX posters that are no longer compliant. To determine if a Title IX poster is compliant, verify that the Title IX coordinator listed on the poster is Linda McCabe Smith.
